Therefore, for this holiday I want to give me something special!
Availability of one day more on saddle to visit San Martino sul Fiora, a village built by the will of the Republic of Siena. Lunch during the day out with typical dishes and local products.
This trekking is ideal for a holiday dedicated to horses, nature, history, culture, food and wine and for a simple and healthy relax!

DAY 0
Check-in for the night
DAY 1
Start at 10am.
4/5 hours on saddle.
Natural and historical ride.
Itinerary passes on Archaeological Park Città del Tufo.
It passes through necropolis of Sovana and we ride between deep roads carved into the rock - Cavone and Cavoncello -famous Etruscan Street.
We descends towards De Branda (Pope Gregorio VII) tomb.
We can stop 15/20 minutes to visit it.
Route continues through Antinori vineyards.
Break for vine tasting immersed in a beautiful natural and archaeological landscape.

3 glasses of wine accompanied by a platter of local products.
(Or stop for lunch at an Agriristoro: cutting board typical products and traditional first course)
Departure for internal paths.
Return around 4/5pm.
DAY 2
Start at 10am towards Terme di Saturnia. 5/6hours on saddle.
We pass between meadows, historical ruins, dense forests of Mediterranean scrub; we ford Albegna river.
Break is near Cascatelle del mulino where you can bathe in the warm thermal waters and where we have lunch (menu light lunch at the nearest bar).
Return around 6pm.
DAY 3
Start at 10am direction of Fiora River, which you will ford, to reach S. Martino sul Fiora.
4/5 hours on saddle.
Lunch stop is in an agritursm.
Return from another road, always re-crossing the River.
Return around 5pm.

Well trained and looked horses. They are all a responsive, willing and enjoyable to ride as well as being sensible and calm to handle.
They are fairly lively temperament but calm with traffic and surefooted.
Mixed breed. They are medium builded local Italian saddlebreds crossed with various other breeds. Some local Maremma crosses, Anglo Arab, Sicilian, Andalucian & Apaloosa crosses.
Mostly English style and most horses are ridden in snaffles.
Mostly Wintec saddles or similar. Very comfortable - but don’t expect tack to be gleaming, or anything more than adequate.
There are pockets in the saddle blankets with room for water bottles, a light raincoat, suncream etc
Horses are prepared and tacked up for you each morning - some help with untacking etc at the end of the
day is appreciated.
Specific difficulties: Riding is aimed at reasonably competent riders, who are secure, comfortable and in control on a well-schooled horse at a walk, trot and canter in open country - but there is some flexibility and novice and even beginners can be catered thanks to a ride suits on them.
Path length: 80 km.
Places: Rides start near Sovana: an antique Etruscan town and a charming medieval village.
